"To keep an eye on the latest styles, the fashion press convenes in New York City each spring for a week of designer shows. At one, Isabel Toledo presented a white cotton shift ([U.S.] $450) paired with Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels ([U.S.] $850) and the body of Nicole Anderson ([U.S.] $750 an hour). 'We wanted a very sensual look, and the stilettos make the girls walk beautifully,' says Ruben Toledo, Isabel's husband and business partner. 'They don't feel important in flats.'"
